Bangla is one of the world's most widely spoken literary languages, with a long and continuous tradition of fiction supported by a large, engaged domestic readership. Despite this depth and vitality, Bangla fiction remains significantly underrepresented in English-language publishing.

AJ Literary operates as a focused literary agency and rights intermediary. We do not function as an open submissions platform or a volume-driven agency.
Our work centers on identifying a small number of proven Bangla fiction titles and representing their English-language rights to publishers in the UK, North America, and other English-speaking markets.
Each project we represent is selected for its narrative strength, market positioning, and suitability for international publication.
